Feeding 150 Homeless and Less Fortunate
I was able to reach my goal of feeding 150 homeless and less fortunate people around the community today and it was such an amazing experience! Thanks to the help of Kyla yesterday at The Plantory, we were able to prepare 150 ham and turkey sandwiches with chips and water in 2 hours.
Today was the roll out and special thanks to Kaira for helping me bless some incredible people! We was able to donate the remaining sandwiches to The Chrysalis House and The Jacob Hope Cafeteria!
I have a bad habit of avoiding eye contact when I see a homeless person. To this day, I’m still working on it. A common stereotype is people who are asking for money are going to spend your money on alcohol. I’m going to challenge anyone reading this to help in other ways. If you don’t want give money (which is okay), keep extra bottles of water, toothbrushes, toothpaste, socks, or even tissues in your car. There’s so many other ways you can help without giving money directly or making meals. Just food for thought.
