I Can't Make This Up: Life Lessons by Kevin Hart

I met Kevin Hart when I was living in Los Angeles finishing graduate school. For those who don’t know, Kevin Hart is on my Mount Rushmore of inspirations along side of Oprah Winfrey, J.Cole, and Amanda Seales.

When I met Kevin Hart, I gave him my favorite Find Your Comfort hat and wrote a letter that asked him to hold my hat for me until I make it. That was 2 years ago and I’m still working towards getting my hat back.

Yesterday, I finished “I Can’t Make This Up: Life Lessons” by Kevin Hart and I strongly recommend this book to anyone chasing something bigger than them. This book SPOKE to me and what I’m trying to accomplish. Kevin Hart gives an in-depth and genuine look on his upbringings and “overnight success”. It was very inspiring to hear all the mistakes he made along the way and how he overcame it through pure commitment to his craft. I can’t speak for anyone else, but I NEEDED to hear a lot of what he was saying especially during this chapter of my life.
